ROOMS

Miriam Makeba Hall

The Miriram Makeba Hall is suitable for up to 180 visitors and can be divided into three workshop rooms with mobile partition walls if required (e.g. during conferences). In each area, a separately switchable ventilation system with cooling and heating functions ensures a pleasant room climate depending on the number of users. It has plenty of daylight, which shines in through windows on three sides, and faces the town square with its own entrance door to the outside. Good room acoustics are ensured by the sound absorbers on the ceiling. As with all our event rooms, access is barrier-less.

Patrice Lumumba Gallery

The room is centrally located on the first floor at the head of the town square. With two separate entrances, this room can be opened up to the terrace. Lots of daylight comes in through the three exterior glass walls, some of which are fitted with frosted glass and some with clear glass. 63 square meters in size, the room is well equipped technically. This makes it ideal for events

  •    - exhibitions, celebrations, conferences and panel discussions,

  •    - workshops, childcare or

  •    - hybrid online events.

In winter, a warm atmosphere can be created using the underfloor heating. The technical equipment includes a sound system with sound boxes distributed throughout the hall, ceiling spotlights and sockets directly on the ceiling lighting rails. There are also five sockets at the height of the floor rails.

Chandra Mohanty Room

This room is 40 square meters in size and is supplied with plenty of natural light via three large windows. The room is technically equipped with a sound system, sound boxes, deck lighting and sockets. An intercom system at the main entrance is also directly connected to the room. Funmilayo Kuti

The Funmilayo Kuti room is our additional room next to the Makeba Saal. It is therefore the perfect complement to the hall. It can be used as a breakout room for small group work or for catering at large events.
